These dramatic Art Deco architectural
elements have a host of possible uses -- any excuse to turn your
home or office into a palatial wonderland! The height of each
of the three pieces is about 7' 5"; the width of the center
piece is about 43"; the width of the left and right "windows"
is about 24," including the metal . If used with the other
two pieces as intended, the central element would be stationary.
The glass seems to be about 1/4 inch thick. There are door handles
for each of the side elements so that they can be opened; you
can see hinges on the outside of each window. The striking geometric
design is both acid-etched and sandblasted, and there is an overall
frosted effect (all the glass is frosted, there is no clear glass
at all, and the frosting is totally uniform). The etching and
frosting work are of the highest quality, and the glass has an
extremely attractive, soft sheen which frankly I have seen only
in French glass of this period. The condition of the glass is
perfect; the metal is heavy-guage iron, built to last centuries
in the French tradition.
