(A) Daggone finest Deco airship I've seen in a while! Stands about 15 inches tall as it banks across its stylized mountaintop.

(B) A petite aluminum vase about 6 or 7 inches tall with a powerful but restrained motif.

(C) My friend Marcel and I were trolling through the antiques district of Lyon when what to his wondering eyes should appear but this stellar example of a Degue table lamp. Nice guy, he let me buy it (you can guess who bought dinner)! It's got substantial height, about 16 inches. Just feast your eyes on that geometric pattern!

(D) Those of you "in the know" will immediately surmise this warrior to be by Max Le Verrier, design lion of Art Deco France. It's a good two and a half feet wide, and once you have it installed you won't want to move it again!

(E) A signed Muller table lamp about 11 inches tall. Brilliant design, flawless execution...

(F) One morning last winter, as leaden, dark clouds scudded overhead, I came upon this collection of Powolnoy-designed Czech glass. Ah, a ray of sunshine... The tallest of the group is about 8 inches high. Sold as a group only.

(G) Desny, or Mrs. Desny? It's been a mere 15 years since I've had one of these... only one tiny chip on one corner, incroyable! It's about five inches high.

(H) Our trumpeting friend is by the famed animalier Rochard, and he's about 21 inches tall. Trunk up, good luck!

(I) The metalwork on this unsigned Schneider chandelier is THE BEST. Fab deep red/purple color on that glass, huh?!

(J) Are we having too much fun yet? Skyscraper pyramiding on a drop-dead base. Who can complain? Oh, you want it taller? Tough, a foot is all you get.

(K) And speaking of size, My Dear, this unimaginably beautiful alabaster bowl is 20 inches across!!! That makes it the largest alabaster bowl this shoemaker has ever had. And get a load of that metal! Yikes!!! And it's not even lit in this picture!!! Get the smelling salts! As a matter of fact, forget the smelling salts, it's sold!!

(L) Or, just load up this decanter with your favorite fire-water and deal with it that way. It's "fine French lead crystal," of course, by Lorraine.

(M) is for MMmmmmmm, you know that. Would you believe this is a LAMP!!!???? Signed Hunebelle! It's about 14 inches across, too. More YIKES!!!

(N) is for new... as in new wine in old bottles. Or something like that. Anyway, I've taken off the boring old mottled Schneider shades and replaced them with these opalescent zingers. Works for me, it does!!
